Small Business Expo and Craft Fair

From 9:00AM to 3:00PM

The Schaghticoke Fair is proud to present the first Spring Small Business Expo and Craft Fair, Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 6th at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds. Showcasing the area's finest small businesses, independent retailers and local artisans, over 50 vendors will be on hand. Hours are 9:00am to 3:00pm both days. Police Officer's Memorial Motorcycle-Ride

From 12:00PM to 2:00PM

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office will join with law enforcement agencies from several counties to participate in part of a 94-mile Police Officer's Memorial Motorcycle-Ride. Blue Friday of New York and Blue Knights New York 24 will hold the 1st Annual Fallen Officer's Memorial Ride to be held rain or shine. The event, which is open to the public, has been set to include a police-escorted motorcycle ride through a five-county area covering Albany, Schenectady, Montgomery, Fulton and Saratoga Counties. Spring Festvial

Who: Rome Catholic School What: Annual Spring Festival Where: 800 Cypress St., Rome When: Friday May 4th (6pm to 10pm), Saturday May 5th (Noon to 10pm), Sunday May 6th (Noon to 6pm) Available throughout the weekend are special unlimited Hawkins Amusement Ride passes. Benefit for Larry Ahrens

From 1:00PM to 6:00PM

A benefit for Larry Ahrens, cancer patient and father of two, will be held on May 5th at the Ephratah Rod & Gun Club, 372 State Highway 67 Ephratah. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the door (kids under 16 free). There will be music, raffles, door prizes, food, beer, a 50-50 raffle, and a second chance raffle for a choice of a gas grill or laptop. War of 1812

From 2:00PM to 5:00PM

The War of 1812: Songs and Stories from New York and Beyond. Dave Ruch will be performing. The program is free but an admission donation would be greatly appreciated. Located at the Historic Nellis Tavern - NYS Rte 5, east of St. Johnsville.

Chicken Barbeque

From 3:30PM to 7:00PM

The Stratford Methodist Church will be having a chicken barbeque dinner located on Rt 29A in Stratford. You can eat in or take out and there will be live country music.

Roast beef dinner

From 4:00PM to 7:00PM

North Main United Methodist Church, 316 N. Main St. Gloversville is having an all you can eat Roast Beef dinner buffet. Adults $10 Ages 5-12 $5, Kids under 5 eat free. Dinner includes roast beef, real mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies, homemade pies and much more. TAKE OUTS AVAILABLE.

Acoustic Coffee House

From 6:30PM to 10:00PM

The 37th all free Acoustic Coffee House from 6:30-10PM, held downstairs of the Fultonville Methodist Church on Montgomery Street in Fultonville. Now into our 4th year, the no admission, no donation Acoustic Coffee House is open to all types of music as long as no vulgarity, doesn’t offend anybody and acoustic. If you can’t make it at 6:30, that’s OK there is a new performer every 9 - 13 minutes on average. Questions (518) 853-4964. 10 yr old Pierce Malone Benefit

Pierce Malone Benefit will be held at the HC Smith Benefit Club in St. Johnsville on May 5. This benefit is to raise money so Pierce can get treatment at the Children's Hospital in Boston. He suffers from Neurofibromatosis, NF. This is a tumor condition. He has a 7" tumor in his throat that needs to be treated in a special facility and his insurance will not cover this special treatment. The treatment will shrink the tumor so his doctors can operate. We will have a live auction and lots of raffles. Tickets are $15 adult, ages 6-12 for $10 and 5-under are free. Lunch and dinner is included. All day DJ and a band starting at 8pm, $5.00 cover.
