Run/Walk

From 7:00AM to 10:55PM

Lexington Family Services will hold its 8th Annual 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk. This is a 2012 Fulmont Roadrunners Grand Prix Event. The race begins and ends at Lexington Center, 465 N. Perry Street in Johnstown, at 9:00 a.m., with registration beginning at 7:00 a.m. Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall finishers, and to the top three finishers, male and female, in each age group: 19 & under; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69 and 70 and over. Short-sleeve t-shirts will be provided to the first 100 registered runners. Entry fee for runners is $15 prior to the event and $18 day of race; Walkers fee is $10. Entry forms for the race can be found on the Fulmont Roadrunners Club website, www.fmrrc.org (click on "local race schedule"). The race benefits Lexington Family Services, a program that serves families of persons with developmental disabilities, providing respite, recreation, school break respite, parent support groups, a teen support group, summer employment, advocacy and other services.

Craft Festival

From 9:00AM to 4:00PM

The 33rd annual Friendship Craft Festival will be held in Spring Park, Richfield Springs. Large bake sale, hamburgers, hotdogs, and sausage, plus a Brooks barbecue from Noon till 3. Admission and parking are free.

Village Storytelling Festival

From 10:00AM to 10:00PM

Held on the Village Green in Clinton...it's "food for the heart and soul." The event is free and open to the public, and features storytelling for young and old by professional and amateur storytellers. The Festival includes music, food, arts & craft vendors and activities for all ages.

Bluesin', Cruisin' and BBQ

From 11:00AM to 4:00PM

Bluesin Cruisin and BBQ at the New Hartford Shopping Center. Free Family Event – rain or shine. Bring your lawn chairs! Bluesin Line-up:

Chicken BBQ and Chinese Auction

From 12:00PM to 3:00PM

Chicken BBQ and Chinese Auction, at the Newport Masonic Temple, 7408 Main St, Newport. $8.00 per person. Eat in or take out. Hosted by Kuyahoora Chapter #145 Order of the Eastern Star. Proceeds will be donated to Breast Cancer Awareness and Veterans Programs.

Flag Day Event

From 12:00PM to 2:00PM

FORT KLOCK HISTORIC RESTORATION ON ROUTE 5 IN ST JOHNSVILLE, IS HONORING FLAG DAY. THE ST JOHNSVILLE AMERICAN LEGION AND COLOR GUARD, ALONG WITH MILITIA RE-ENACTORS WILL BE AT THE FORT. THE EVENT WILL START AT NOON WITH A SPEAKER ON THE HISTORY AND PROPER DISPOSAL OF THE AMERICAN FLAG. VISITORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING THEIR WORN AND TATTERED FLAGS TO BE BURNED. REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED. ALSO ON JUNE 9 & 10, JOIN OUR BLACKSMITHS FOR OUR ANNUAL HAMMER IN. SMITHING, BBQ AND CAMPING WILL BE RUNNING. FORT KLOCK IS OPEN TUESDAY-SUNDAY 10-5 PM. Rhythm on the Ridge
