From 12:00AM to 5:55PM

Come and celebrate the autumn season as Herkimer Home State Historic Site presents - An 18th Century Autumn Celebration. Featured during this annual fall festival will be a variety of traditional crafts, displays, music, food, and other activities.

In and around General Herkimer’s home, authentically clothed Herkimer Home Volunteers and visiting artisans will be engaged in traditional activities that were essential on every colonial Mohawk Valley farm. Activities include cider pressing, apple butter making, making corn husk dolls, pewter casting, wagon rides, and more. Author Irene Uttendorfski will be present for a book signing and music will be provided by Paul Whitney and John Schuyler.

As always, a highlight of the event is the hearty 18th century food including Herkimer home’s famous “Kitty’s Fritters” with Maple Syrup. Food and beverage sales are provided by the Friends of Herkimer Home. There is no admission charge to the event and all are invited to attend and celebrate the autumn season at Herkimer Home State Historic Site.
